Synopsis

Our client in the Automotive industry is looking to employ a Sales and After Sales for the Young Professionals Program that is aimed at introducing young talent into the organisation within the Sales and Aftersales functions.

About the opportunity

Permanent placement

12 months structured program (may include role rotation)

The successful incumbents will be part of a team that provides:

  • for the development of strategic product plans which optimize the competitive advantage for Brands and secure the planned volumes and market share
  • a specialised After Sales consulting service, actively driving interventions within the Brands Dealer network in the development and implementation of strategies to increase Customer Satisfaction, Dealer After sales growth, profitability, Parts and Service market share
  • for the achievement of the overall retail sales (new and used vehicles), wholesale and CSI objectives for the allocated region
  • for the development of benchmark sales practices for all franchise dealers through effective planning, management and control of the portfolio within the national dealer network
  • implementation of projects that achieve increased customer experience and loyalty, increased service market share, increased Parts & Accessories turnover, and workshop profitability

Requirements

  • Have a sound understanding of Dealer Sales and After Sales operating procedures and business management practices
  • Have well-developed communication skills, both written and oral and demonstrate sound negotiating, influencing and selling skills and techniques
  • Have the ability to make quick and sound decisions in order to resolve issues without elevating to the next level
  • Be innovative, resourceful, action-oriented, analytically minded and demonstrate strong leadership values
  • Be a team player, yet be able to work and manage own output independently to meet high quality standards
  • Exhibit a solution-oriented approach and be able to operate effectively under pressure
  • Display a high level of energy, enthusiasm and work commitment
  • Be fully proficient in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with well-developed report preparation/ presentation skills

Be able to travel nationally and internationally in the normal ambit of the role, covering Dealer visits and consultations.

Qualifications

  • Have a recognised 3-year National diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Commerce/ Marketing/ Business Management/ IT/ Digital

Experience

  • Have a minimum of 5 years Motor Industry experience in Sales/ Aftersales/ Product/ Volume Planning (retail/ field experience advantageous)
  • Experience in the implementation of key Sales programmes
