Synopsis

A financial services provider is seeking to employ an Internal Communication Specialist to Implement internal communication plans, campaigns and initiatives that support business objectives.

Description

Responsibilities

Deliver internal communication campaigns and plans (Internal Process)

  • Develop internal communication campaigns and plans for Group-wide Services and the Africa Segment
  • Drive the continuous conversation with employees; grounded in annual business objectives, activities, and outcomes
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and drive their annual engagement plans
  • Write, produce, coordinate and distribute effective communiqués for the business and any other relevant audiences
  • Conceptualise and partner in creating internal events and activations for the respective campaigns
  • Manage the weekly digital newsletter, by coordinating, writing and producing business and employee-centric content
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Ensure the implementation of internal communication procedures and activities, such as placing of posters, intranet announcements etc.
  • Identify the most appropriate technologies for internal communication and collaborate with IT for the effective implementation of initiatives
  • Conceptualise, design, implement, execute and measure a brief/project from a client and be able to brief relevant suppliers as such
  • Perform post campaign evaluations and produce reports for stakeholders
  • Measure, analyse and report on brand Return on Investment (ROI) and make recommendation to increase the impact of internal campaigns

  • Provide authoritative, expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders
  • Deliver on service level agreements made with internal and external stakeholders and clients
  • Make recommendations to improvement client service within area of responsibility
  • Participate and contribute to a culture which build rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service

Contribute to financial controls and planning (Finance)

  • Contribute to the development of area specific budgets to minimise expenditure, in alignment with operational plans
  • Identify opportunities to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency
  • Provide input into the risk identification processes and communicate recommendations in the appropriate forum

Requirements

Qualification

  • Degree in Communication, Media, Journalism or Linguistics

Experience

  • 5 -8 years’ experience in internal communication
