Our client, a well-established company is seeking for a Shipping Manager (Contract role) to manage export control related activities in supply chain operations, make sure procedures are in place and followed, and ensure the compliance with Export Control Laws and Regulations and trade compliance that facilitates international trade in relation to customs handling in such a way that it secures.


  • Set up and Implement local internal control procedures on export control and ensure compliance based on Export Control Laws and Regulations.
  • Train employees on export controls and decide or advise on related issues.
  • Define embargo situations, apply and manage licenses.
  • Maintain contacts with all parties involved with the License application process.
  • Manage sanctioned party list by screening of business partners and customs documents. Timely release of documents that have a false positive hit.
  • Knows how to use PROTECT and GTS.
  • Classify or chase classification for new items with ECCN# and SGI#
  • Conduct annual cycle to review and update missing or wrong master data of ECCN# and SGI#.
  • Reduce business risk to a minimum through fulfilment of the yearly.
  • self-assessment questionnaire.
  • The Global Export Control specialist is responsible for the maintenance of the PEPF processes in his or her domain.
  • Supports the drive within Royal Organisation towards Operational Excellence through creation and implementation of processes and procedures to minimize risk for Royal Organisation goods flow in the international Supply Chain.
  • Driving compliance to Customs rules and regulations across Supply Chain and Operations.
  • Driving Cost of Organization and customs compliance.
  • Ensures liaison with local and regional business partners (logistics service providers, brokers and (finished) goods suppliers) on Customs Authorities requirements.
  • Liaise with local customs authorities for goods release at transaction level.
  • Initiate and runs local operational continuous improvement projects within the Customs domain.


  • Bachelor or Master degree
  • Minimum 3 years related experience
  • Minimum 5 years related experience (for Bachelor degree)
  • Minimum 3 years related experience (for Master degree)
  • Minimum 7 years related experience (for Bachelor degree)
  • Minimum 5 years related experience (for Master degree)
  • Minimum 1 year related experience
  • 1 to 2 year experience with international operations and compliance
  • 3 to 5 year experience with international operations and compliance
  • Minimum 5 years experience in international operations and Trade Compliance
