Synopsis

A prominent telecommunications organisation has a vacancy for Talent and Learning Partner who will assume responsibility for the customisation, delivery and continuous improvement of Learning, Development and Talent solutions to meet corporate strategic plans for the business unit.

Description

  • Provide input in strategic meetings when required.
  • Provide inputs into the enterprise wide transformation initiatives when required.
  • Provide inputs into the risk mitigation and controls.
  • Perform evaluation baseline of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide input into the preparation of proposal on change initiatives SLA, policies and procedures.
  • Escalate issues that will result in severe time, scope, productivity, and cost or resource impact.
  • Provide solutions to escalations that have multiple processes or functions impact on critical path of service delivery.

  • Report on a periodic basis to reporting manager relating to progress made within the sub-function and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organisation.
  • Report on an ad hoc basis on specific projects as and when necessary.
  • Support in managing business learning, development and skills transfer strategy, budget, plan, delivery and control for the Group Technology functions.
  • Support localisation of the Global Learning framework, models and impact metrics within the Group Technology functions.
  • Support and advise in the set-up and operational management of the Business Learning Academies within the Group Technology functions.
  • Maintain and manage the learning and development plan, program and calendars for Group Technology functions.
  • Manage the design and delivery of business learning content, courses, catalogues, channels and skill transfer methods for the Group Technology functions.
  • Periodically research, identify and recommend function specific business learning and development needs.
  • Advise the function on integrated talent and learning solutions and practices.
  • Support in the development and delivery of leadership and career strategy, budget and plan for the Group Technology functions.
  • Prepare leadership, succession and career related insights, trends, benchmarks and best practices that are specific and relevant to the Group Business areas.
  • Participate in leadership development, career and succession planning activities for the Group functions, in conjunction with the Global HR expertise verticals to fulfil the functions requirements.
  • Craft and customise integrated leadership and career development plans relevant for the Group Technology function roles, in conjunction with the Global Leadership and Career teams.
  • Prepare and present reports and key metrics and indicators for Leadership, Career and Succession within Group Technology.
  • Proactively analyse and derive insights to assist the Senior Business Partner developing top talent management, strategic hiring and retention strategies.
  • Assist in developing strategic talent sourcing strategies which align with the workforce needs of the Group Business Units, in conjunction with the Global Organisation Strategy and Performance Team, Regional Partners and HRBP network.
  • Support the implementation of buy, build and bind strategy for Group Technology, aligned with the global sourcing strategy.
  • Develop a sound sourcing channel plan for various levels or skills of the functions, in line with the workforce plan.
  • Cascade and ensure delivery of the plan through the Manco HR Operations team
  • Support Senior Business Talent Partner in management of top or critical skills management strategies for the Group Technology functions.
  • Design innovative solutions improve engagement and retention.
  • Provide insights and feedback to Global HR functions and BU leaders to enable strategic interventions for retention, motivation, development and career management.
  • Prepare and present reports and key metrics and indicators for talent management within the Group Business Units.

Requirements

  • 3-year tertiary degree or diploma in Human Resource, Behavioural Sciences, Business Studies, Management or equivalent.
  • Relevant certification, accreditation or membership with professional bodies in the area of Business Learning Management, Skills Upgradation or Re-skilling, Talent Management etc. would be advantageous.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience working in the HR domain or telecommunication environment with specific focus on talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development, employee experience etc.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with clients on solving business or operational issues through the application of progressive people systems (Human Resources) practices.
  • Project management experience.
  • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies.
  • Experience working in a medium to large organisation.
