An eminent production organisation is currently seeking an individual to assume the role of Head of Sale and Marketing. The successful incumbent will be responsible for researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, developing and implementing sales plans as well as identifying and exploring new markets.


  • Accomplish marketing and sales human resources objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees.
  • Communicate job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions, planning and reviewing compensation actions as well as enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Achieve marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, preparing and completing actions plans, implementing productivity, quality and customer service standards, identifying trends and determining sales and marketing systems improvements.
  • Meet marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements such as preparing an annual sales and marketing budget.
  • Determine annual and gross profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales splits for product segment, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Accomplish marketing and sales objectives by planning, evaluating advertising and trade promotion programmes.
  • Identify marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements such as establishing targeted market share.
  • Improve product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying and capitalising on market opportunities.
  • Provide information by collecting, analysing and summarising data trends.
  • Protect the organisation’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities such as professional publications and participating in professional organisations as well as attending relevant events.
  • Accomplish marketing and organisation mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Drive weekly sales and marketing progress by presenting sales roadmap and progress at weekly sales meeting.


  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Must have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully pitching for new businesses.
  • Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads.
