Synopsis

A distinguished financial and service organisation is currently seeking an individual to assume the role of HR Business Partner. The successful incumbent will be responsible for aligning the organisation’ objectives with employees and management in designated organisation units as well as serve as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues.

Description

  • Partner with the organisation units to identify and understand key business challenges in order to source, prioritise and drive HR solutions.
  • Contribute to the achievement the organisation strategy through the optimisation of all the elements of the employee lifecycle.
  • Support the organisation with employee and industrial relations needs.
  • Work as a custodian of all people related policies and procedures, providing effective advice, response and implementation.
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to line management regarding discipline including representing the company at Bargaining Council or the CCMA.
  • Identify key HR change initiatives and programs ensuring that they are delivered in accordance with agreed requirements through effective coordination of people and resources.
  • Champion and enable effective cross-functional working relationships to create and drive an integrated HR employee experience.
  • Manage the succession planning process and employment equity in the organisation unit.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Identify training needs for the organisation units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.
  • Assist divisional managers in bringing about transformation in their divisions in relation to the BBBEEE.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR.
  • An Honour’s degree in HR would be an added advantage.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the HR profession.
  • A thorough understanding of multiple HR disciplines such as Performance Management, Employee Relations, Learning and Development.
  • SABPP membership would be beneficial.
  • Proficiency in MS Packages.
