A reputable organisation in the financial and services industry is currently seeking an individual to assume the role of Enterprise Wide Risk Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing integrated and enterprise wide risk across the organisation.


  • Provide strategic direction on Risk Governance across the organisation.
  • Coordinate and drive a strong strategic approach to the organisation’s operating manual.
  • Track and monitor the developments relating to the financial sector regulations and other legislation which will impact the organisation’s risk.
  • Provide strategic direction on ERCOs and provide insightful and actionable reporting and feedback to ERCOs.
  • Provide strategic direction on risk by consulting, engaging and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build trusting relationships with all stakeholders by being a value driven leader and strategic business partner.
  • Coordinate and drive a strong strategic approach to risk management by ensuring the alignment between the risk objectives and the business strategies of the organisation.
  • Maintain an open and constructive relationship as a Trusted Advisor with senior, internal and external stakeholders including SARB, External Audit and Business Executives.
  • Report on the overall effectiveness of the governance, risk and internal control framework of the Group.
  • Place a robust process to follow-up management’ agreed actions to address issues raised by GSR.
  • Update inventory of all risk management policies, frameworks and drive the update or refresh and integration of these.
  • Update inventory of all risk management charters (at Board level, Group Exco, Cluster level).
  • Update inventory of all Schedule of Delegated Authority (SODA) and measurement of limits and limit breaches (contained in the SODA and actual execution of the SODAs).
  • Provide and manage the platform (IT systems) to manage the list of inventories and to automate the inventory systems.


  • Must have an Honour’s Degree.
  • Master’s Degree.
  • Bachelor of Commerce , Bachelor of Laws (LL.B).
  • Compliance Institute of South Africa (CISA) Institute of Risk Management of South.
  • Africa (IRMSA) or similar Would be an added advantage.
