Synopsis

Our client, a prominent financial services company is currently seeking an individual to assume the role of Marketing Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible for helping the organisation achieve its revenue, market share, customer, business and profit objectives by effectively executing marketing strategies across appropriate channels, products and teams.

Description

  • Drive business strategy by providing marketing expertise and translating business objectives into relevant channel marketing, sponsorships, advertising, events, merchandising and communications, or a mix thereof.
  • Focus on integrating various marketing projects and activities to drive a holistic, balanced delivery against the larger marketing mandate, including providing input into specialised teams delivery against a larger segment, sub-segment or portfolio promise.
  • Continuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback and request development where appropriate.
  • Plan and manage performance, skills development, employment equity, talent and culture of team in order to improve innovation, achieve efficiencies and increase competencies.
  • Document and disseminate key insights from key marketing initiatives to ensure continuous learnings in line with group processes and frameworks
  • Gather relevant market data in collaboration with appropriate stakeholder and compile insights to inform strategic decision making.
  • Make use of available research and insights to inform relevance of marketing inputs across the marketing mix. 
  • Continuously report on key performance outcomes and deliverables, as well as progress against strategy, and implement appropriate subsequent actions.
  • Effectively measure, monitor and report on the relevant project and marketing budgets.
  • Serve as an active member of the relevant leadership team through partnership with colleagues as well as driving collaboration and integrating deliverables to optimise the impact of an integrated marketing approach on the relevant customer segment. 
  • Promote and apply professional and franchise standards, practices and governance which are aligned to the marketing strategy.
  • Actively seeks ways to improve efficiency and effectivity of focussed and integrated marketing campaigns, activities and projects.
  • Manage and coordinate various specialist marketing skill sets/people and roles within the segment, centre and business unit teams to ensure an integrated, balanced and holistic delivery against strategy. 
  • Design and develop the relevant integrated portfolio marketing plans that ultimately result in profitable growth of the portfolio across all product houses and digital channels. 
  • Create strong partnerships with the relevant channels and product houses to ensure alignment to segment objectives and to optimise the impact of marketing campaigns, activities and projects to expand market share and achieve growth targets. 

Requirements

  • Relevant Commercial degree with specialisation in Marketing Management.
  • Post graduate qualification in marketing or relevant field.
  • Must have Experience -5-7 years’ relevant experience with 2 years’ experience in the financial services sector.         
  • Insurance experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong digital marketing background.
