Our client, a well-established financial services organisation is currently seeking an individual to assume the role of Human Resources Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing the organisations entire talent acquisition function from sourcing to on-boarding.


  • Manage industrial relation functions as well as minimising and mitigating risk.
  • Represent the organisation at disciplinary hearings and at CCMA.
  • Drive contemporary and relevant people practices to achieve healthy employee or employer relationships for optimal business results.
  • Identify business needs, address HR matters raised by the organisation and offer relevant solutions.
  • Provide professional HR support and consultations throughout the organisation.
  • Manage policies and procedures regarding people practices in the company.
  • Offer consultations and counselling to the organisation on Performance Management.
  • Manage Workforce planning and talent pipelining.
  • Gauge employee engagement via annual climate survey, quarterly pulse checks, focus groups and other diagnostic methods, based on emerging needs at a point in time.
  • Examine feedback received, analyse, share results and recommend suitable interventions.
  • Market the employer’s brand.
  • Manage position management, job profiling and job evaluation.
  • Coach and develop the HR generalist team and enable them to contribute meaningfully. 
  • Communicate with the team what is expected of them, how their individual roles fit in with the organisations goals and hold them accountable.
  • Remove barriers and create an enabling environment to work.
  • Promote an effective feedback loop with the team.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and deliver needs-based HR initiatives and services.
  • Hold monthly performance consulting needs with management as well as provide them with information to make decisions.
  • Act as a sounding board for business.


  • HR degree and or equivalent.
  • Must have 7 to 8 years in a HR management role with HR Generalist experience.
  • Analytical and critical thinking, sound decision-making skills.
  • Digital awareness and literacy.
  • Numeracy skills, logical, systematic, risk focused, sound judgement, attention to detail.
  • Microsoft office suite (intermediate to advanced).
