Our client, an established player in the financial services space is currently seeking an individual to assume the role of VIP Travel Consultant. The successful incumbent will be responsible for creatively tailor making "high touch" luxury travel packages for the organisations high net worth customer base.


  • Provide information on (but not limited to) travel, facilities and services, events and attractions, tours, travel routes and transportation schedules.
  • Arrange tickets, bookings, appointments and reservations for customers.
  • Organise extra’s for VIP client or special occasions (“Surprises and Delights”).
  • Source travel products and information for upmarket clients.
  • Be trustworthy, discrete and sensitive to clients’ needs at all times.
  • Build relationships and rapport with customers.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with personal Bankers and product houses (where applicable).
  • Provide customers with excellent customer service and always go the extra mile.
  • Assist with after hour duty, including nights and weekends.
  • Deal with complaints and refunds and work alongside the Manager to resolve them.
  • Come up with new initiatives and creative ideas for clients.
  • Arrange all travel related queries and advising clients on travel arrangements, e.g. visas and passports.
  • Keep clients up to date with any changes.
  • Counsel clients on terms and conditions of travel, e.g. cancellation policies, insurance, advice.
  • Process payments and discount allocation/s.
  • Promote destinations, tour packages and other services.
  • Provide travel tips on currency, language, safety, health, etc.
  • Maximise on sales opportunities.
  • Deliver excellent customer service.
  • Achieve monthly KPI as set out by the Manager.
  • Be capable of working within a team structure or autonomously.


  • National Diploma in Travel or similar qualification.
  • 10 years’ experience within the Travel industry.
  • 10 years GDS experience (preferably Galileo).
  • Previous travel concierge (or similar), corporate or wholesale experience, focusing on VIP/UHNW clients (advantageous).
  • A passion for travel and delivering service excellence Ability to multi-task within a high-pressured environment Creative problem solver and good organisational skills.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Proven recent international travel.
  • Resilience and composure to remain positive under pressure or in changing circumstances.
  • Sales experience and the consultative skills to confidently recommend and cross-sell relevant products and services.
  • Strong time management skills.
