Our client, a notable financial services provider, is currently seeking an individual to assume the role of VIP Travel Agent. The successful incumbent will be responsible for overseeing a team dedicated to servicing the organisations UHNW customer base and ensuring operational excellence while providing guidance, problem solving and support to staff in the team.


  • Provide information on (but not limited to) travel, facilities and services, events and attractions, tours, travel routes and transportation schedules.
  • Arrange tickets, bookings, appointments and reservations for customers.
  • Organise extra’s for VIP client or special occasions (“Surprises and Delights”).
  • Source travel products and information for upmarket clients.
  • Build relationships and rapport with customers.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders (team members, customers, suppliers, bankers, etc).
  • Provide customers with excellent customer service and always go the extra mile.
  • Assist with afterhours duties.
  • Work closely with the Head of Travel and Lifestyle to enhance the value proposition for the UHNW customer base.
  • Come up with new initiatives and creative ideas for clients.
  • Arrange all travel related queries and advising clients on all travel arrangements, e.g. visas and passports.
  • Keeping clients up to date with any changes.
  • Deal with complaints and refunds.
  • Counsel clients on terms and conditions of travel, e.g. cancellation policies, insurance.
  • Process payments and discount allocation/s.
  • Promote destinations, tour packages and other services.
  • Provide travel tips on currency, language, safety, health, etc.
  • Maximise on sales opportunities.
  • Deliver excellent customer service.
  • Work closely with Managers within the team to maximise opportunities (e.g. Travel product, Groups, Experiences, Operations).
  • Achieve monthly KPI as set out by the Head of Travel and Lifestyle.


  • National Diploma in Travel or similar.
  • 10 years’ experience within the Travel industry.
  • 10 years GDS experience (preferably Galileo).
  • Previous concierge (or similar), corporate or wholesale experience, focusing on VIP/UHNW clients.
  • Provide Best in Class customer service focused on exceeding client expectations.
  • Proven recent international travel.
  • Experience of minimum 3 years, supervising / team leader / managing a team.
  • Excellent communication skills including grammar and strong written and verbal communication skills when communicating to High Profile Clients.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Proven research, organisational and time management skills.
