Synopsis

An illustrious financial services provider is currently seeking an individual to assume the role of Project Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of all projects carried out by the organisations.

Description

  • Effectively update and maintain documentation of project work for reference and audit purposes.
  • Produce project progress reports.
  • Summarise all project’s progress into a consolidated PMO progress report.
  • Consolidate various reports into packs as needed, for example, Exco, Risk or Finance packs.
  • Organise and arrange the logistical requirements of meetings in an effective and efficient manner according to predefined standards.
  • Set up meetings on behalf of the project and programme managers, including sending out invites and managing responses.
  • Book venues for meeting and workshops and cater accordingly.
  • Contribute to an effective client service delivery culture through adherence to approved organisational service delivery principles.
  • Deliver exceptional service adhering to relevant SLA agreements and offering appropriate solutions.
  • Develop productive working relationships with colleagues in support of the delivery of contracted work outputs and learning and growth.
  • Effectively update and maintain documentation of project work for reference and audit purposes.
  • Produce project progress reports.
  • Contribute to the development of project budgets, control and report on budgeted resources to meet the project objectives.
  • Give input to the development of the project budget.
  • Monitor project resources and spend against agreed budget.
  • Report on project spend throughout the project as agreed.
  • Implement and use governance and compliance procedures and processes effectively to identify and manage risks.
  • Manage the quality of delivery in line with predefined quality standards, procedures, SLA’s and project plans to ensure customer goal achievement.
  • Maintain and build relationships for purposes of expectation management and project reporting.
  • Lead indirect teams by providing a meaningful context, setting performance standards and educating on process.
  • Continuously develop own expertise in terms of industry and subject matter development and application thereof in an area of specialisation.

Requirements

  • Completed relevant undergrad degree.
  • Project management certification.
  • 7 -10 years’ project management experience.
  • Track record of delivery of a mix of small and larger projects.
  • Experience in leadership role.
