Synopsis

A leading financial services provider is currently seeking an individual to assume the role of Digital Search and Conversion Rate Optimisation Specialist. The successful incumbent will be responsible for making sure that the organisations brands rank optimally on Google Search, both in paid and organic sections as well as ensuring that users convert post click.

Description

  • Conduct weekly, monthly and annual tracking and reporting on the organisations’ search engine rankings and overall performance in paid and organic search.
  • Perform ongoing keyword research and expansion of keyword opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis on a monthly basis.
  • Develop and implement strategies, both content and technology related, to improve search rank and Google ads quality score (including page speed, link building, url structures, etc.).
  • Develop and execute an A/B testing plan to optimise conversion on the site and the app.
  • Work with the marketing technologists and development teams to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented.
  • Work with brand and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation, including meta data.
  • Compile and present Search and Conversion optimisation guidelines and findings.
  • Provide Guidance around implementation of Accelerated Mobile Pages.
  • Ensure integration with UX and CRO.

Requirements

  • Degree/diploma or SETA equivalent.
  • Proven SEO experience.
  • Proven conversion rate optimisation experience.
  • Understanding of online leads, conversions and sales.
  • Extensive experience in website analytics tools including Google Analytics, Search Console, Moz, Google Optimise (or other SEO or A/B testing tools).
  • Understanding of A/B testing.
  • Sound knowledge of SEO principles including the latest ranking factors and algorithms.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM.
  • Ability to translate analytics into simple and clear actionable items and present these in regular meetings.
  • Google Ads certified.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript code.
