Synopsis

A leading video entertainment organisation is currently seeking an individual to assume the role of Senior Manager of their Digital Channel Sales Department. The successful incumbent will be responsible for implementing the organisation’s digital strategy as well as being accountable for the conversion rate and performance of the organisation’s full digital estate.

Description

  • Create the lead generation and online conversion strategy, programs of work and roadmap (inc, order fulfilment) across B2C and B2B.
  • Work with both Corporate and in-market stakeholders to understand business priorities and reflect in the customer sales journey (digital ‘join’ journey).
  • Improve the accuracy and relevance of all lead generation CTAs (i.e. Find an Installer/Dealer, click to call, etc.).
  • Act as functional lead for E-Commerce projects within the business (owning and socialising business requirements).
  • Conduct ongoing research around eCommerce best practice that is fit for purpose within a MAL environment (via a data driven approach through GA, Power BI, Session Cam, What Users Do, etc.).
  • Identify and deploy A/B testing programmes that delivers demonstrable ROI.
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Senior Manager to increase conversion rates, through using; paid search, SEO, affiliate programs and loyalty programs.
  • Devise strategies on both contents, copy and implementation to expand the customer database and increase potential sales across retail and online.
  • Conduct daily site maintenance and work with all pertinent parties to optimise conversion performance, site changes, problem trouble shooting, escalation and resolution.
  • Work with the Marketing team to ensure that eCommerce is fully integrated and aligned with the overall marketing strategy.
  • Identify and execute AB tests to gauge the market impact of GTM activity.
  • Own the Digital Personalisation roadmap and capability implementation.
  • Work alongside CVM lead to deploy Digital Personalisation campaigns (once capability is in place).
  • Identify digital partnership opportunities.

Requirements

  • Post Graduate Degree in Marketing.
  • 8-10 years’ experience within Digital/eCommerce environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of Digital conversion metrics and levers that can affect these KPIs.
  • Strong analytics background (ability to know what questions to ask and make data driven decisions).
  • Conversion optimisation experience (i.e. technologies that support improvements in maximising the likelihood of customer lead conversion – e.g. SessionCam).
  • Intimate understanding of contact centre functions, operations and KPIs (i.e. to create a dedicated inbound sales team).
  • Demonstrable experience around Personalisation, Deep Learning and AI (i.e. experience working with Adobe Target, Optimisely, etc).
  • Preferred knowledge of the African eCommerce environment (i.e. current customer preferences across Africa and where this is likely to go).
  • Media background preferred.
