Our client, a well-established financial services organisation, is currently seeking an individual to assume the role of Financial Resource Management Analyst. The successful incumbent will be responsible for optimising returns for deals on an individual and a portfolio basis as well as assisting in the management of the organisations credit portfolio.


  • Assist in the management of the organisation’s credit portfolio.
  • Involved running and simulating the impact on strategy for the wholesale credit portfolio, including credit, capital and funding.
  • Assist in looking for solutions to enable the origination, distribution and risk management capabilities in the organisation.
  • Running and collating of DCF information, and collating market information.
  • Working closely with Asset Management Solutions (AMS), Structured Distribution Solutions (SDS).
  • Running analysis that will be used to influence the development of credit, liquidity and risk frameworks on behalf of the organisation.
  • Representing FRM in the monthly focus group meetings, to better understand pipeline and pricing concerns from a business perspective.
  • Running and calculating earnings volatility impact for concentrated Sub-Investment Grade counterparties.
  • Capturing and analysing DCF pricing information into a database.
  • Understanding pricing and helping to provide and analyse market trends.
  • Doing research on capital, credit and liquidity models and to position the research to optimise the portfolio in the credit cycle.
  • Assist dealmakers with blended pricing models, such as project finance models, credit migration models for leverage deals in South Africa and Africa.
  • Assist in the structuring and optimisation of dollar funding structures, by optimising ROC, ROL.
  • Assist with the building of models looking at ROC, ROE, ROL for deals throughout the lifecycle of the deal.
  • Work closely with AMS to look at structuring solutions for credit, capital or liquidity optimisation.
  • Develop an understanding of the working of the fund and conduit solutions as parallel balance sheets to the bank.


  • A relevant post-graduate degree relevant BSC business science, BSC actuarial science, BSC Quantitative Finance, BCom degree.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Strong quantitative background.
  • Must understand risk and return.
  • Good understanding of funding and liquidity.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and Basell III.
