Synopsis

A well-established financial services group is currently looking for a dedicated individual to assume the role of Talent Attraction Specialist. The Successful incumbent will be responsible for assisting with creating innovative, direct channels and methods of sourcing quality candidates for key and critical roles that are available within the organisation.

Description

  • Apply relevant research tools to produce well-executed research results and gathers market intelligence to aid in the attraction of talent.
  • Strategically engage with internal stakeholders by providing market intelligence and market trends related to remuneration, competitor activity and the various talent pools to effectively target the relevant skills.
  • Compile and maintains a database with sought-after skills and experience utilising both internal (Oracle I-Recruit) and external sources of information like LinkedIn.
  • Act as a custodian and owner of the organisations LinkedIn site by making sure it is utilised effectively to attract and engage with the relevant talent pools.
  • Compliment and build the overall direct sourcing capability within the team by exploring other on-line platforms for engaging directly with candidates, e.g. Twitter, Job board etc.
  • Conduct research on the global market to identify top employment equity candidates, and where applicable African Diaspora investment banking talent.
  • Capture quality research outputs on the Oracle database.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends by function and geography to ensure that the organisation is an industry leader in talent identification.
  • Collect and communicate market trends from research and conversations at agreed frequencies and intervals with various stakeholders, Business Unit Heads, Line Managers and Human Capital Business Partners.
  • Build professional working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, displaying sound abilities to listen, advise, influence, negotiate and present at all levels.
  • Ensure effective handling of candidate queries, complaints and compliments and drive positive solution resolution with an emphasis being placed on customer centricity
  • Generate interest from potential candidates by initiating contact, building relationships and selling the organisations brand for future enticement.
  • Conduct market maps where required by specific Business Units and for critical roles in the business.
  • Proactively look for and maintains relationships with relevant potential hires and candidates
  • Create candidate pipelines against future needs driven by client, roles and/or industry trends
  • Build and drive the process of marketing candidates in the business and measuring the success of these initiatives.
  • Develop and drive suitable networking events for target talent pools
  • Conduct industry research, company and people against assignments/roles
  • Play a lead role in the creation of talent pools to support the organisation’s Africa Expansion Strategy.
  • Get involved and takes ownership of the talent acquisition value-chain for certain critical roles, from posting adverts, research, long list creation, interviews, selection and contributing to the recruitment and engagement model improvements.

Requirements

  • Relevant university degree in Research, Business or Human Resources.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of Talent Attraction experience (Financial Services environment advantageous).
