Synopsis

Our client, an established financial services group, is currently looking for an individual to assume the role of Head of Marketing. The successful incumbent will be responsible for driving effective and innovative brand, strategic marketing and communication strategies that will create brand awareness, provide client insights and increase sales and profitability.

Description

  • Provide strategic direction for the design, co-creation and implementation of a cohesive organisational branding, marketing architecture and strategy.
  • Drive the development of integrated marketing strategies and campaigns for the organisation that maximises the effectiveness of the sales force and business development activities.
  • Develop and manage the implementation of best practice operational strategies, processes and policies.
  • Drive the co-creation of the organisations marketing strategies and initiatives, ensuring a focus on delivering marketing initiatives that are compelling and relevant.
  • Optimise innovation, marketing analytics and service delivery for the organisation.
  • Provide strategic direction for the design, co-creation and implementation of the organisations branding and marketing architecture and strategy that focuses on business development and maximising sales opportunities.
  • Deliver marketing initiatives that are compelling, concise, clear as well as relevant and deliver a consistent message to the organisations stakeholders (internal and external clients, financial advisers and industry role players).
  • Drive the use of the most relevant and efficient technology to effectively deliver marketing messaging to target audiences, including those on mobile, social etc. including executions like videos, animations, and communication trends.
  • Be the forerunner to changing market dynamics, translating these into actionable strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Drive the development and measurement of marketing metrics that enable effective decision making around revenue growth, market share, marketing intelligence and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for optimisation within the marketing function and ensure that the marketing function has the correct capabilities to support the organisation.

Requirements

  • B.Com Honours or equivalent.
  • MBA would be (preferred).
  • 10 years traditional and technical marketing within the financial services industry. Investment experience would be beneficial.
  • 5 years in managing and leading senior teams.
  • An extensive understanding of traditional and innovative marketing, sales and communication strategies and methods.
  • Competence in developing marketing strategies in line with business requirements and identified targets.
