Synopsis

Supply the formulation strategy and the communication plan, the conceptualisation thereof, implementation and monitoring thereof for the Data Management Organisation's internal and / or external communications programmes for a Communications and Change Manager role at a leading Financial Services Provider.

Description

  • Change management and communication aims to ensure that all data management stakeholders have the right knowledge and understand the impact that data management has on the organisation. It includes the facilitation of initiatives to promote sound data management practice, formal and informal data management training and the communication of data governance compliance requirements
  • Develop and/or assist the development of communications strategies across the applicable/relevant spectrum of communications disciplines
  • Apply integrated communications by using the relevant communications channels to enhance the communications mix and drive value
  • Understand business unit strategy, marketing strategy, Customer Value Propositions (CVPs), products and services, Employee Value Proposition (EVPs) to meaningfully apply to communications strategy development
  • Implementation of the approved communications plan and the business unit/segment/product/brand property's profile & image internally and externally by: Managing the day to day internal and external communications activities by creating content, Managing the production and promotion of communication materials ensuring communications outputs are of a high standard & fulfil the needs of the target audience, Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with essential internal and external collaborators and intermediaries in the communications value chain that enable the achievement of effective communications and change outcomes
  • Provide verbal and written engagement with internal and external stakeholders that promote the EDP in support of the communications, and business strategies and objectives
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to promote the communications and change objectives and enable the EDP voice in the client sphere through relevant channels
  • Apply knowledge and understanding of the business context to ensure credible and effective internal and external communication with stakeholders
  • Analyse and report on all aspects of communications and change coverage and impact by managing, co-ordinating and ensuring effective implementation of measurement and tracking tools
  • Manage budgets in line with implementation plans by keeping a running budget indicating actuals vs budget to ensure effective budget management and reporting on budgetary position as per the communications plan
  • Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives and values by reviewing the company and EDP Plan and ensuring delivered systems, process, services and solutions are aligned.
  • Identify training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from management
  • Ensure all personal development plan activities are completed within specified timeframe
  • Share knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders during formal and informal interaction
  • Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced processes (e.g. operational processes) that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses by highlighting benefits in support of the implementation of recommendations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Marketing/Communications/Banking/Change Management
  • Post graduate qualification (preferred)
  • 5 – 10 years as a communications assistant, communications co-ordinator or change manager. ? Experience in a communication, marketing, change management role
  • Applied knowledge of the communications mix and the appropriate/relevant application of media and channels to achieve communications and marketing goals and objectives
  • Experience in developing and implementing media, advocacy and marketing communication initiatives/campaigns
  • Experience of representing a business unit/division to the media and/or other relevant stakeholders
