Synopsis

Develop and implement the divisional human capital strategy aligned to key business and human capital priorities, collaborate with CoE’s and the broader Human Capital team to ensure that relevant people attraction onboarding, development, engagement and retention programmes and interventions are in place to enable sustainable business results for a Divisional Head of Human Capital role.

Description

  • Effective design and delivery of an integrated Divisional Human Capital strategy in line with business and human capital priorities
  • Fulfils an advisory role across the people management value chain
  • Partners and co-creates solutions with the CoE’s to ensure integration and alignment across the people value chain
  • Leads, facilitates, communicates and monitors the implementation of various Human Capital initiatives within the Division
  • Facilitates Talent Review forums including succession planning and management for the Division
  • Provides input towards Human Capital policies, procedures and frameworks through interaction with the various CoEs
  • Provides strategic direction towards the talent attraction and talent development plans of the Division
  • In partnership with the Divisional leadership, employees, Employment Equity Committee and the CoE’s, ensures that the company and the company Transformation objectives are integrated in the Divisional Transformation strategy and embedded in the various people practices. Ensures that the divisional EE plan is aligned to and contributes towards the company’s EE plan
  • Leads, influences and inspires others towards a common objective

Requirements

  • Post graduate degree in Human Resources or Psychology
  • A Master’s degree would be advantageous
  • 10+ years’ experience in a Human Capital related role with Exco level experience
  • Banking industry experience would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of Human Capital policies and legislation
  • A deep knowledge and understanding of the functional aspects of the Human Capital value chain
