Synopsis

Our client, an entertainment and hospitality group, is seeking a passionate and hard-working team player to join their group as an Assistant Financial Manager. One-year post articles experience within consolidation and financial reporting team will be advantageous for this role.

Description

  • Passionate about financial management and analytical, with an eye for detail
  • Technically stay up to date with IFRS and sound working knowledge of taxation and an expert on group reporting
  • Skilled communicator – both verbal and written at all levels
  • Carry out various ad hoc duties as required from time to time
  • Work proficiently in Microsoft Excel, Word and comfortable with consolidation and accounting systems and processes; Insight and Caseware experience advantageous
  • Experienced in benchmarking, formulation of accounting policies, able to provide technical input and assistance (emerging issues re IFRS, Tax, and Companies Act etc.)
  • Skilled at performing financial reviews and analysis
  • Skilled at providing support and maintain service levels to all internal stakeholders
  • Liaise with external and internal audit regarding all aspects of the audit process
  • Contribute at exceptional levels as a member of the reporting team, and be a key role player within the team

Requirements

  • CA (SA) qualification with one-year post articles experience within a consolidation and financial reporting team
