The key purpose of this role is to support business units to drive operational effectiveness through the implementation of Human Resource best practice. The successful incumbent must understand the business units in depth in order to deliver initiatives which will enable the business units to deliver on their objectives.


Key responsibilitites:

  • Support the HR BP in execution of HR strategy
  • Implementation of relevant Centers of Excellence solutions to address key business challenges
  • Provides a generalist HR service to managers, supervisors and general staff
  • Identifies, coordinates and facilitates relevant HR workshops/interventions/initiatives as guided by the HR BP
  • Ensures high quality of services delivered (i.e. timeliness, accuracy, efficiency and responsiveness)
  • Ensures customer queries are escalated to the right level and right stakeholder until they are resolved to customer satisfaction
  • Advises and supports employees in understanding HR policy and services, and accessing service providers
  • Takes overall accountability for quality in the HR value chain / processes
  • Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships with HR Leadership, Business Leadership, wider HR community and Employees
  • Enable effective cross-functional working relationships to create and drive an integrated HR employee experience


Minimum requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or equivalent
  • 3 - 5 years of HR generalist experience
  • Knowledge and application of BCEA, Employment Equity, Labour Relations Act and Skills Development Act
  • Recruitment process knowledge, understanding and experience
  • Effective Communication (Written and Verbal)
  • Solid HR administration experience
  • Multiple stakeholder project facilitation
  • Implementation of relevant Centers of Excellence solutions to address key business challenges
  • Broad and comprehensive understanding of Human Resources concepts and principles
  • Knowledge and experience of the business and its intricacies
