Synopsis

An international investment, savings, insurance, and banking group is looking for a Social Media Manager to join their team. The Social Media Manager is responsible for the successful management of social media strategy and campaigns across the business.

Description

The role answers key questions such as how brands are communicated and experienced through social interactions, and how social engagement interactions fit into broader customer experiences. The role works closely with the Segment and Country Digital Marketing Managers / teams and MC Centre Managers to deliver on objectives.  

 

  • Work with the brand team, business units and country marketing teams / managers to develop and implement social media strategies and interfaces that help build interactive conversations into the brand experience including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, YouTube etc. 
  • Work with sponsorship, CSI and advertising teams to build social media communities off the platforms they provide and engage in interactive conversations with customers and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues to amplify traditional marketing campaigns through social media; monitor engagement and interactions and stimulate conversations that interest the audience and help deliver the marketing strategy
  • Work with the analytics team to define and refine social media KPIs and value, including impact on brand affinity from social media interactions
  • Work collaboratively across the group to recommend social media marketing strategies in order to drive traffic, increase customer acquisition, engagement, retention and revenue
  • Work with colleagues across the group’s marketing to ensure that social media and traditional marketing strategy and activity is integrated and leverages off one another 
  • Provide governance and policies across the group to ensure that all social media marketing activities are compliant to agreed protocols, standards and rules  
  • Ensure there are processes in place to monitor, identify and escalate reputational issues emerging on social media and work with the group in resolving these timeously
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance / support to the segments and countries in delivery of their social media marketing plans 
  • Ensure there are processes in place to monitor, identify and report topical issues and themes currently being discussed on social media relevant to the market
  • Identify and proactively engage with key internal and external stakeholders / partners needed to deliver on key performance indicators

Requirements

  • Relevant university degree
  • 5 years’ experience in general marketing and communications management including a minimum of 3 years within a digital marketing environment is required
